The LaserCon "Original" LDP Converter is an adaptor card for the replacement of your broken laserdisc player, to a newer, faster, more reliable one.
It's a common problem. The Laserdisc players used in arcade machines ran day after day for years. The moving parts simply wore out. Now when you try to play your favorite game, you find that the video skips, stutters, or just doesn't play at all. That 25 year old laserdisc player has finally given up!
So, you go looking for a replacement on the internet and can't find one.
That's where LaserCon comes in. The LDP Converter receives your old player's command codes, and translates them to the new serial commands used by modern Pioneer laserdisc players. The result is a much better game experience. The pauses between game scenes and death sequences are greatly reduced, providing a more fluid game play.
